Radio Technician


A reputable radio station in Wiltz is seeking a skilled and experienced Radio Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radio technology, with experience in maintaining and repairing radio equipment. The role will involve working with audio and RF equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our broadcasting systems. This is a contract position, with a salary of $1700 per month. This job is open to both Canadians and foreigners, and no English language skills are required. Accommodation will not be provided for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair radio equipment such as transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, and antennas
- Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues with audio and RF equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on broadcasting systems to ensure optimal performance
- Install new equipment as needed
- Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance procedures
- Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding technical issues
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in radio technology

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radio Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of radio technology, including audio processing, RF transmission, and antenna theory
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues with radio equipment
- Ability to read schematics and understand wiring diagrams
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work varying shifts when needed

Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications would be considered an asset for this role:
- Degree or certificate in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field
- Experience working in a broadcasting environment
- Knowledge of industry regulations regarding broadcasting equipment
- Familiarity with digital audio processing software
