Typesetter (Herzliya)



As a Typesetter, your main responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently layout text and images for publications, such as books, magazines, and newspapers. You will work closely with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure that the final product meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive manuscripts or digital files from editors and prepare them for typesetting
- Utilize appropriate software to format text and images according to design specifications
- Proofread and make necessary corrections to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with designers to determine appropriate font styles, sizes, and layouts
- Communicate with editors and designers regarding any changes or updates needed
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a typesetter or similar role
- Proficient in using typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of typography principles and design aesthetics
- Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
- Prior experience in publishing industry is a plus

Salary: $1400 per month
