Librarian Assistant


We are searching for a detail-oriented and organized Librarian Assistant to join our library team in St. Petersburg. As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Librarian in managing and maintaining the library's collection, providing reference services to patrons, and helping with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Librarian in managing and organizing the library's collection
- Help patrons with reference questions and locating materials
- Process new library materials, including cataloging and shelving
- Maintain accurate records of circulation and overdue materials
- Assist with administrative tasks such as creating reports, updating records, and managing budgets
- Provide excellent customer service to all library patrons
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute library events and programs
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in library science and technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is required
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of library databases and software systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1500 per month.

Location:
This job is located in St. Petersburg, Russia. Applicants from India are preferred but all nationalities are welcome to apply.

Working Hours:
This position is part-time, working 20 hours per week. The schedule will be determined based on the needs of the library.
