Mining Technician

A reputable mining company in Nairobi is seeking a skilled Mining Technician to join their team. This is a contract position with a salary of 1300$ per month and includes accommodation. The ideal candidate will be an Indian national with experience in the mining industry.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and machinery, reporting any issues or malfunctions
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
- Operate heavy machinery, including excavators and bulldozers, to extract minerals from the earth
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Maintain accurate records of production and equipment maintenance
- Assist with training new employees on proper equipment operation and safety procedures

Requirements:
- Must be an Indian national residing in Nairobi or willing to relocate for the duration of the contract
- Previous experience working in the mining industry as a technician or mechanic
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and drills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols within the mining industry
- Ability to work long hours in physically demanding conditions
