Head Chef in Os, Norway
As a Head Chef at our restaurant in Os, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations. You will lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to create and serve delicious meals to our customers. Your creativity, leadership skills, and strong culinary knowledge will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus that are both creative and cost-effective
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation
- Oversee food inventory, ordering, and budgeting to maintain cost control
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen while adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes, promotions, and events
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipe specifications and presented attractively
- Monitor food quality and make adjustments as needed to meet customer expectations
- Manage relationships with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant
- Strong knowledge of different cuisines, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team effectively
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail in presentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards
- Fluent in English (Norwegian proficiency is an advantage)
- Valid work permit or residence permit for Norway
