Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Ashdod, Israel. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural history, conservation techniques, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history and significance of historical buildings in Ashdod
- Develop preservation plans and strategies to protect and restore these structures
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure that restoration work is carried out accurately
- Utilize traditional building methods and materials to maintain the authenticity of historical buildings
- Monitor and inspect restoration work to ensure compliance with preservation standards
- Create detailed reports on the condition of historical buildings and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance
- Work closely with local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders to gain support for preservation efforts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural conservation or preservation
- In-depth knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Historic Preservation or Conservation
- Experience working with local government agencies
- Familiarity with Israeli building codes and regulations
