Back-End Developer

A fast-growing tech company in Braga is seeking a highly skilled Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying the back-end of our web applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, and PHP, as well as experience working with databases and web servers. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient and scalable back-end code for web applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues in a timely manner
- Optimize website performance and functionality
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in back-end development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in back-end development
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or PHP
- Experience working with databases (SQL, MongoDB) and web servers (Apache, Nginx)
- Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
