Land Surveyor

A reputable land surveying company in Svalbard is seeking a skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine land boundaries, prepare topographic maps, and collect data for construction projects. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1200$ per month and includes accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed surveys of land using specialized equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and digital levels
- Prepare accurate topographic maps by collecting data on features such as elevations, contours, and distances
- Measure and record precise locations of natural and man-made features on the land
- Consult with clients to understand their specific surveying needs and provide recommendations for the best approach to achieve their goals
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Maintain accurate records of survey data and prepare reports for clients
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within agreed timelines

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Land Surveyor
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and digital levels
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating distances, angles, areas, and volumes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision under pressure
- Ability to interpret maps, blueprints, and other technical drawings accurately
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional licensure or certification as a Land Surveyor
- Experience working on construction sites or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software
