Entry-Level Land Surveyor

We are seeking an entry-level land surveyor to join our team in Svalbard. This is a great opportunity for someone without experience in the field to gain valuable skills and training while working on exciting projects. As an entry-level land surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting with land surveys, collecting data, and producing accurate maps and drawings. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with experienced surveyors and learn from their expertise.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with land surveys using various tools and equipment
- Collect and record data accurately
- Produce maps, charts, and other drawings based on survey data
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
- Follow safety procedures at all times
- Complete any other tasks assigned by senior surveyors

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- No prior experience necessary, but some knowledge of land surveying principles is a plus
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment
- Valid driver's license preferred (ability to obtain one if needed)
- Must be eligible for visa sponsorship if not a resident of Svalbard

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1100 per month, with potential for growth based on performance.

Accommodation:
We provide accommodation for our employees in Svalbard. You will have your own private room in a shared housing unit.

Visa Sponsorship:
We are able to sponsor visas for international applicants who meet our requirements. Please note that this process may take several months.
