Executive Chef - Bergen, Norway
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and managing a team of chefs in our high-end restaurant in Bergen, Norway. Your main goal will be to ensure the delivery of exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus according to current food trends and customer preferences
- Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory to control food costs
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards
- Collaborate with management to create promotions and special events to attract more customers
- Manage the budget for the kitchen department, including labor costs, equipment purchases, and supplies
- Develop new recipes or modify existing ones to keep the menu fresh and innovative
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of different cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and menu planning
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving goals
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean working environment
- Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences
