Typesetter

As a typesetter, you will be responsible for creating and formatting text and images for various printed materials such as books, magazines, and newspapers. This role requires an eye for detail and strong technical skills in typesetting software. You will work closely with editors, designers, and printers to ensure the final product meets quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Reviewing text and images provided by editors for accuracy
- Selecting appropriate fonts, sizes, and layouts for each project
- Adjusting spacing and kerning to ensure readability
- Incorporating design elements such as headers, footers, and page numbers
- Proofreading final layouts to identify errors or inconsistencies
- Collaborating with printers to ensure proper printing of materials

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a typesetter or in a similar role
- Proficiency in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors
- Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and color theory
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
