Information Security Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team in Washington. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of information security principles, as well as hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating potential security threats. This is a contract position with a salary of $1000 per month, and accommodation will not be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities
- Develop and implement effective security protocols and procedures
- Monitor network activity for any suspicious behavior or unauthorized access
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis when necessary
- Stay up-to-date on the latest information security trends, technologies, and best practices
- Train employees on proper security protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure overall network security

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in information security analysis or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security technologies
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Qualys
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, or ISO 27001
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM
- Experience with cloud computing environments (e.g. AWS or Azure)
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
