Instrument Technician
A reputable oil and gas company in Os, Norway is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of 1100$, with potential for growth and advancement.
As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various instruments used in the oil and gas industry. This includes but is not limited to pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, and level indicators. Your main goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of these instruments at all times.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry. You must have a biometric passport as this job may require travel to various offshore locations. This position is suitable for men who are physically fit and able to work in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various instruments used in the oil and gas industry
- Conduct regular inspections of instruments to ensure they are functioning properly
- Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve instrument-related issues
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities
- Adhere to all safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry
- Biometric passport for potential offshore travel
- Knowledge of instrument calibration techniques
- Familiarity with technical drawings and manuals
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physically fit with the ability to work in challenging environments
