Senior Accountant (Almada, Portugal)



We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Conduct monthly and annual closing procedures
- Ensure accuracy of financial data and resolve any discrepancies
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Develop budgets and financial plans
- Manage tax payments and filings
- Provide guidance on financial decisions to senior management
- Train and supervise junior accounting staff

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- At least 5 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in a senior role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
