Job Title: Librarian


A reputable library in Albena is seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cataloging, managing library collections, and providing reference services. They should also have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other staff members.

Responsibilities:
- Catalog and organize library collections, including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and electronic resources.
- Help patrons locate and access materials through the use of library catalog systems.
- Assist with collection development by selecting new materials based on community needs and interests.
- Provide reference services to patrons by answering questions, conducting research, and recommending resources.
- Plan and implement library programs and events for all ages.
- Train patrons on the use of technology resources such as computers, printers, and electronic databases.
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions, including circulation data and patron information.
- Collaborate with other staff members to promote library services through outreach activities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting.
- Knowledge of cataloging standards such as MARC21 and Dewey Decimal Classification.
- Familiarity with electronic databases and research tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
- Proficiency in a second language is preferred but not required.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month for this full-time position.

Contract:
This is a contract position with flexible hours. The contract will be for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Nationality:
