Job Title: Contract Executive Chef - Svalbard



We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Svalbard on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. You must have previous experience as an Executive Chef and possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage our kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that align with our company's vision and standards
- Supervise food preparation and ensure high-quality dishes are served to guests
- Manage inventory and control food costs
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into our menus

Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that appeal to a diverse clientele
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Biometric passport is required for international travel purposes

Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Svalbard (accommodation provided)

Contract Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
