Instrument Technician - Alta, Canada
We are currently seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Alta, Canada. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments used in industrial processes. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$ per week and includes accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate and maintain various instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in control systems and instrumentation.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on instruments to ensure proper functioning.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of electrical principles and hands-on experience with electrical components.
- Familiarity with different types of control systems such as PLCs, DCSs, SCADAs.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or diploma in Instrumentation Technology or related field.
- Experience working with instrumentation in the oil & gas industry.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to instrument work.
