Preservation Architect
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Preservation Architect to join our team in Oslo, Norway. As a Preservation Architect, you will play a crucial role in preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. Your passion for architectural history, attention to detail, and technical expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the longevity of these valuable cultural assets.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough research on the history and architectural significance of buildings
- Assessing the current condition of structures and identifying areas requiring preservation or restoration
- Developing preservation plans that adhere to cultural heritage regulations and standards
- Preparing detailed drawings and specifications for preservation work
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of preservation projects
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans and timelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, building materials, and construction techniques used in different eras
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant architectural tools
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (fluency in English is required)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail with a critical eye for quality control
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
This is a full-time position with accommodation provided by the company. We also offer visa sponsorship for international candidates.
