Indian Chef
The Indian Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic Indian dishes, as well as managing the kitchen staff and overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. They will need to have a deep understanding of Indian cuisine and culture, and be able to source high-quality ingredients. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Fluency in Hindi or any other Indian language is preferred but not required. This position is based in Eschen and offers a salary of 1100$ per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of traditional Indian dishes
- Manage kitchen staff and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train new kitchen staff on recipes, techniques, and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Indian Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and culture
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in Hindi or any other Indian language (preferred but not required)
- Good physical stamina and able to stand for extended periods of time
