Head Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in Doha. The ideal candidate will be a Malayalee with excellent English speaking skills and previous experience in a similar role. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing menu concepts, managing food costs and inventory, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers. This is an urgent job with accommodation and visa sponsorship provided.
Responsibilities:
- Create innovative menu concepts that reflect current trends and customer preferences
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of all dishes to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage food costs by monitoring inventory levels, minimizing waste, and sourcing ingredients at the best prices
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and prompt service
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and ingredients to continually improve the menu offerings
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service promptly
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Excellent knowledge of Malayalee cuisine with the ability to create modern interpretations of traditional dishes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food cost control measures and inventory management techniques
- Experience in creating menus that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
