Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine - Muscat
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef with expertise in Indian cuisine to join our team in Muscat. As a member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of delicious desserts and pastries that showcase the rich flavors and techniques of Indian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute a variety of desserts and pastries, including traditional Indian sweets, using high-quality ingredients
- Work closely with the Head Chef to develop new dessert menu items that reflect current trends in Indian cuisine
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety standards
- Train and mentor junior pastry cooks in proper techniques and recipes
- Manage inventory of pastry ingredients and equipment, ensuring timely ordering and restocking as needed
- Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of food to customers
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably with expertise in Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian desserts, as well as modern techniques and trends
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of desserts to customers
- A creative eye for plating and presentation, with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.
Location:
This position is located in Muscat. Candidates from India are preferred. English speaking candidates will also be considered.
