Job Title: Civil Engineer - Construction Supervisor

Our construction company in Svalbard is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as a Construction Supervisor. As a qualified candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from planning and design to execution and completion. You will work closely with our project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate construction projects from start to finish
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project plans are accurate and feasible
- Oversee the selection of materials and equipment for each project
- Monitor progress on site and ensure adherence to safety regulations
- Manage project budget and schedule, making adjustments as needed
- Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates on project status
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are acquired before beginning construction
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure quality control

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in construction supervision
- Strong understanding of engineering principles
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership abilities

Preferred:
- Experience working in remote locations or extreme environments
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Svalbard

Salary: $1100/month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Longyearbyen, Svalbard (accommodation provided)

Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent position)
