Job Title: Contract Librarian in Khanpur


We are seeking a highly experienced and organized Contract Librarian to join our team in Khanpur. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and information requests, and performing administrative tasks such as cataloging and budget management.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection, including selecting materials for acquisition, cataloging, shelving, and weeding out outdated materials
- Assist patrons with research and information requests, providing guidance on how to use library resources effectively
- Oversee the library's budget and make purchasing decisions based on the needs of the community
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and prepare reports as needed
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement programs and events that promote literacy and education within the community
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in library science and technology to continually improve services offered by the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian in a public or academic library setting
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with diverse populations
- Proficient in using library databases, cataloging systems, and other technology used in libraries
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
