Head Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine


We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Pastry Chef with a passion for Indian cuisine to join our team in Akron. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and designing unique and delicious desserts that complement our authentic Indian dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and execute all pastry and dessert menu items while ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
- Create new and innovative dessert recipes that incorporate traditional Indian flavors and ingredients
- Manage inventory of pastry supplies, equipment, and ingredients to ensure efficient operation of the pastry kitchen
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of pastry cooks to maintain high levels of quality in all pastry items
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus and special event menus featuring Indian-inspired desserts
- Monitor food costs and manage budget for the pastry department
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen in accordance with food safety standards

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting, preferably specializing in Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian desserts, as well as modern techniques and trends in pastry-making
- Ability to lead, train, motivate, and communicate effectively with a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality
- Attention to detail with a strong sense of creativity
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences through beautifully crafted desserts

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package starting at 1700$ per month.
