Pastry Chef
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious and visually appealing desserts and baked goods for our restaurant in Akron. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and passion for pastry-making while working with a team of experienced chefs.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and creating a variety of desserts and baked goods, including cakes, pies, pastries, and specialty items
- Managing inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality at all times
- Following recipes precisely to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times
- Adhering to food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborating with other chefs to create new menu items or special offerings
- Training and supervising junior pastry chefs or assistants
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Knowledge of various pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, chocolate work, etc.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Creativity and passion for exploring new flavor combinations and dessert trends
- Degree from an accredited culinary school is preferred but not required
Salary: $1200/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Akron (Egyptian nationality preferred)
Language Requirement: Fluent English (Arabic is a plus)
