Sous Chef
We are in search of a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in the beautiful city of Alta. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Head Chef to create new menus and dishes that align with our restaurant's concept
- Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness
- Manage inventory and stock levels, placing orders as needed to maintain supplies
- Monitor food costs and assist in creating cost-effective menus while maintaining quality
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing proper health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine-dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and culinary terminology
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required
Salary: 1200$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
