Librarian - Education and Information Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Acre. As an Education and Information Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the library's resources, assisting patrons with research inquiries, and promoting the library's services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection of resources including books, journals, and electronic databases
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing materials for research purposes
- Provide reference services to help patrons locate information and answer questions
- Develop and implement programs to promote the library's resources and services to the community
- Train library staff on new technologies and information retrieval methods
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in library science and recommend new resources for acquisition
- Maintain accurate records of library materials including circulation statistics, inventory reports, and patron feedback

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Familiarity with electronic databases and online research tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist patrons from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Experience working with children and developing educational programs for youth
- Knowledge of Hebrew or Arabic language is a plus
