We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Turner to join our team on a contract basis in Os, Norway. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating machinery and tools to shape and cut metal parts according to specifications. This is an urgent job with a salary of 1600$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machines such as lathes, grinders, and drills to produce accurate cuts and shapes on metal workpieces
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine specifications for the job
- Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and templates to check dimensions of finished workpieces
- Adjust machine settings and tool offsets for different materials and tolerances
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed for quality control
- Inspect finished workpieces for defects or imperfections
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and regulations
- Communicate with team members to ensure efficient production flow

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Turner or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tooling methods
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Familiarity with CNC machines is preferred but not required
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials when necessary
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work
- Excellent communication skills
