Head Chef - Lom, Kenya



We are seeking a talented Head Chef to join our team in Lom, Kenya. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a creative flair when it comes to developing new dishes. You should also have strong leadership skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience as a Head Chef is preferred. Salary: $1200 per month

Requirements:
- Professional training or certification as a chef
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of different cuisines and cooking techniques
- Ability to manage and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Responsibilities:
- Develop new menus that appeal to our customers while also considering food costs and dietary restrictions
- Oversee food preparation and ensure high quality and consistency in taste and presentation
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train kitchen staff on proper food handling procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Schedule shifts for kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, expenses, and sales figures
- Collaborate with management on budget planning and cost control measures
