A luxury resort in Nakuru, Kenya is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef for a seasonal position. This is an ideal opportunity for an Indian national with a passion for cooking and travel. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end establishment, with a focus on Indian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative menus that showcase authentic Indian flavors while also catering to international tastes
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Monitor food quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed
- Maintain inventory and order supplies to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or resort
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations and traditional cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
