Sous Pastry Chef

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Bayan. As a Sous Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Pastry Chef in creating and executing all pastry items for the menu. This includes but is not limited to cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Pastry Chef in developing and executing all pastry items for the menu
- Ensure quality and consistency of all pastry items
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in proper techniques and procedures
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ingredients, ordering as needed
- Monitor food costs and control waste to meet budget goals
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of pastry items
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new techniques to continuously improve menu offerings

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef, with at least 2 years as a Sous Pastry Chef or equivalent role
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field preferred
- Strong knowledge of various pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, plating, etc.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Experience managing inventory and food costs

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Bayan. Preference will be given to candidates who are already living in or willing to relocate to Bayan.

Note:
This position does not require fluency in English. However, proficiency in English is considered an asset.
