Indian Chef - Hawalli
A restaurant in Hawalli is seeking an experienced Indian chef to join our team. As an Indian chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic Indian dishes, maintaining high food quality standards, and managing kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to traditional recipes
- Ensure that all food is consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's standards
- Monitor food supplies and ingredients, ordering when necessary
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Create new menu items and specials based on seasonal ingredients or customer preferences
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective menus while maintaining high-quality standards
- Follow proper sanitation procedures at all times to ensure the safety of guests and staff
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years of experience as an Indian chef in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various regional Indian cuisines and cooking techniques is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have good communication skills in Hindi or any other Indian language
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing menus or daily specials
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
