Pastry Chef
We are hiring a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Remish. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods. Your main goal will be to create delicious and visually appealing treats that will satisfy our customers' cravings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute dessert menus in collaboration with the head chef
- Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and pies
- Decorate desserts using various techniques such as icing, glazing, and piping
- Ensure all desserts are presented in an attractive manner and meet quality standards
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies needed for pastry production
- Train junior pastry chefs on techniques and recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of different types of desserts, pastries, and baking techniques
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dessert ideas
- Attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent communication skills in order to collaborate effectively with other team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Baking/Pastry Arts or related field
- Experience working in high-end restaurants or hotels
- Fluency in English (Malayalee or Kenyan nationality preferred)
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month.
