Metal Fabricator


As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for working with various types of metal to create parts and structures according to blueprints and specifications. You will use specialized tools and equipment to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces together. This position is based in Alta, Norway and offers a salary of 1300$ per month with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents to determine project requirements
- Measure and mark metal pieces for cutting using tools such as calipers, rulers, and squares
- Cut metal pieces using saws, shears, or plasma cutters
- Shape metal pieces using bending machines or hammers
- Weld or join metal pieces together using welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding
- Grind and smooth metal surfaces to remove excess material or sharp edges
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Metal Worker or similar role
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints
- Proficiency in operating tools such as saws, shears, welding equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical strength and stamina for lifting heavy materials
- Good hand-eye coordination for precise measurements and cuts

Preferred:
- Certification in welding or metal fabrication
- Experience with CNC machines
- Knowledge of safety procedures when working with metal
