Executive Chef - Contract Position in Herzliya, Israel
Our 5-star hotel in Herzliya, Israel is seeking a talented Executive Chef to join our team on a contract basis. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create new menu items and recipes while working within budget constraints
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other support staff
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with management to create seasonal menus and special event menus
- Monitor food costs and work to minimize waste
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and introduce new techniques or ingredients to the menu
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Ability to manage a large kitchen team
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Creativity in developing new dishes while adhering to dietary restrictions or preferences
- Excellent time management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
