Junior Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone without experience in the field to gain valuable skills and experience in a supportive environment. The salary for this position is 1500$ per month, with visa sponsorship available for the right candidate. This is an urgent job opening, so we are looking for someone who can start immediately.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
- Process invoices and payments accurately and timely
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Prepare financial statements under the guidance of senior accountants
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Prior experience in accounting or finance is a plus but not required
- Must have valid visa/work permit for Norway or be eligible for visa sponsorship
