Indian Chef

We are a high-end restaurant located in Nakuru and we are seeking an experienced Indian Chef to join our talented culinary team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking and creating authentic Indian dishes, as well as experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As an Indian Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of traditional Indian dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and taste.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Manage kitchen operations, including ordering ingredients, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and dish presentation.
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop new menu items or use seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area at all times.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Indian Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian cuisine, cooking techniques, and spices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise kitchen staff effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1700$ per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This position is located in Nakuru, Kenya. While we prefer candidates who are fluent in English, we welcome applicants from any nationality who have the required qualifications.
