Head Chef - Al Buraymi, Oman
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Al Buraymi, Oman. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing the menu, overseeing the kitchen staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of Pakistani and African cuisine
- Ability to create innovative dishes while also maintaining traditional recipes
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
Responsibilities:
- Design menus that reflect our restaurant's concept and appeal to our clientele
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen including food preparation, cooking, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
