Typesetter (Contract, Lisbon)

As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images into a visually appealing layout for print or digital media. You will work closely with editors and designers to ensure the final product is accurate, consistent, and aesthetically pleasing. This is a contract role based in Lisbon with the possibility of visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities:
- Format text and images according to design specifications
- Ensure accuracy of spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Collaborate with editors and designers to achieve desired layout
- Adhere to project deadlines and production schedules
- Make necessary revisions based on feedback from team members or clients
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and software updates

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a typesetter or similar role
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of typography principles and design concepts
- Familiarity with printing processes and file formats

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced publishing environment
- Understanding of HTML/CSS for digital publishing
- Familiarity with foreign language typesetting

Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
