Part-Time Librarian in Bergen, Norway

As a part-time librarian in Bergen, Norway, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting patrons with their research needs. This role requires a candidate with prior experience in a library setting and the ability to work independently. The salary for this position is 1300$, and the schedule will consist of approximately 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patrons with their inquiries and research needs
- Organize and maintain library materials, including shelving books and cataloging new materials
- Provide instruction on how to use library resources, both physical and digital
- Assist with collection development by identifying areas for improvement or expansion
- Promote library programs and services through outreach efforts
- Handle circulation tasks such as checking books in/out, collecting fines, and issuing library cards
- Maintain accurate records of library usage statistics

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Prior experience working in a library setting is required
- Knowledge of library cataloging systems and online databases
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with the public
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
