Office Assistant - Administrative Support (Malindi, Kenya)
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a highly organized and self-motivated Office Assistant to join our team in Malindi. As an office assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls to appropriate colleagues
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and preparing outgoing mail
- Maintain office supplies by checking inventory levels and placing orders as needed
- Schedule appointments and meetings for staff members as directed
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks such as data entry and issuing invoices
- Keep track of office expenses and prepare expense reports for review
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files accurately
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an office assistant or in a similar administrative role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn new skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration or related field
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Salary: 1800$ per month
