Back-End Developer



We are looking for a skilled Back-End Developer to join our team in Svalbard. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for the server-side web application logic and integration with front-end elements. Your primary focus will be developing and maintaining high-quality code and collaborating with the front-end developers to ensure seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable back-end code
- Collaborate with the front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement security measures to protect data and user information
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
- Continuously stay updated on industry trends and advancements in back-end development

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in at least one server-side programming language (e.g. Java, Python, Ruby)
- Experience working with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB) and web servers (e.g. Apache)
- Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience implementing security protocols (e.g. OAuth 2.0)
- Knowledge of code versioning tools (e.g. Git) and Agile development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
