Head Chef - Nepali Cuisine
As a Head Chef - Nepali Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and menu development of our authentic Nepali restaurant in Sharjah. Your main duties will include creating and preparing traditional Nepali dishes, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and developing new recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menu development for authentic Nepali cuisine
- Create and prepare traditional dishes with a modern twist
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure food quality and safety standards are met at all times
- Develop new recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Order supplies and ingredients as needed while staying within budget constraints
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with management to develop promotions or special events for the restaurant
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu development.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef specializing in Nepali cuisine
- Biometric passport preferred but not required
- Experience managing a team of kitchen staff
- Strong knowledge of traditional Nepali dishes and cooking techniques
- Ability to create new recipes while staying true to authentic flavors
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required.
Salary: 1700$ per month
