Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Fonvieille. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and securing our company's databases. You must have experience in database management and development, as well as a strong understanding of database architecture and best practices. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently. This is a contract role with a salary of $1300 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing database structures based on business needs
- Ensuring data security and integrity through regular backups and updates
- Troubleshooting any issues with the database system and resolving them in a timely manner
- Optimizing database performance through monitoring, tuning, and index creation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide support for data-related projects
- Providing technical expertise for database-related decisions and initiatives

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and other database languages such as MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB
- Knowledge of database architecture principles and best practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members

Preferences:
- Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment
- Prior experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR
