We are hiring a skilled and experienced Barista to join our team in Nairobi. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies. You will also be expected to provide excellent customer service by taking orders, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages according to customer preferences
- Take customer orders and handle payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Assist with inventory management as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Barista or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and latte art is preferred
- Basic math skills for handling payments accurately
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1800 per month.

This job is located in Nairobi, Kenya.

Nationality Preference:
Preference will be given to candidates who are Indian nationals or foreigners with the appropriate work permits.

Contract Type:
This is a contract position for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of extension based on performance.
