Head Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are currently hiring a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in our busy Indian restaurant located in Los Angeles. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious and authentic Indian dishes, managing the kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design new menu items while maintaining the authenticity of traditional Indian cuisine
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including ingredient sourcing, cooking techniques, and portion control
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and organization
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and menu planning
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef in an Indian restaurant or similar establishment
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to lead a team and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary:
$1500 per month
