Instrument Technician

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Bayan, Kenya. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing various types of instruments, such as sensors, meters, and gauges. They should also have knowledge of electrical circuits and be able to troubleshoot any issues that may arise. The role will involve working with a variety of instruments used for measurement and control in industrial settings. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1100 per month, including accommodation. Candidates must have a valid biometric passport for travel purposes. As an Instrument Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of our equipment and maintaining high levels of accuracy in our measurements.

Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, maintain and repair various types of instruments
- Troubleshoot issues with instruments and diagnose technical problems
- Read technical diagrams and manuals to determine proper operation and maintenance procedures
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on instruments to ensure their accuracy and functionality
- Test newly installed or repaired instruments to ensure they meet specifications
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance work performed on instruments
- Collaborate with other team members to identify potential improvements or upgrades for instrument systems

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in instrumentation technology or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits and ability to read technical diagrams
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
- Experience using testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
- Familiarity with various types of sensors, meters, gauges, and other measuring devices
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
