Instrument Technician - Svalbard, Norway


We are in need of a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Svalbard, Norway. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electronic and mechanical instruments used in a wide range of industries.

Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various electronic and mechanical instruments such as meters, gauges, sensors, and control systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments using specialized tools and equipment
- Repair or replace faulty components or systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on instruments to ensure proper functioning
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex instrument issues
- Stay up-to-date with new technology and industry trends related to instrument maintenance

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as an Instrument Technician in a similar role
- Knowledge of various types of instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, thermometers, etc.
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment and diagnostic tools
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
