Urgent Elementary School Teacher in Funchal, Portugal


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Elementary School Teacher to join our school in Funchal, Portugal on an urgent basis. As a teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote the intellectual and social development of our students. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of elementary education principles and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and promote active learning
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Assess students' progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions as required
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's academic progress

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the elementary level
- Fluent in English (Portuguese language proficiency is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of educational theories, methods, and best practices for elementary education
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Proven ability to create a positive learning environment
- Experience with technology integration in the classroom is preferred
- Must have legal authorization to work in Portugal

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1700$ per month.
