Junior Librarian


We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Junior Librarian to join our team at our library located in Alta, Norway. As a Junior Librarian, you will assist the senior librarian in managing the library's collection, organizing events and activities, and providing excellent customer service to library patrons.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the library's collection, including shelving books and other materials
- Support the senior librarian in planning and executing events and activities for the community
- Provide excellent customer service to library patrons, including assisting with research inquiries and recommending books
- Help with administrative tasks such as processing new materials, managing overdue items, and updating records
- Collaborate with other team members to improve library services and programs

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
- Familiarity with library cataloging systems is desirable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
The salary for this position starts at 1000$ per month.

Location:
This position is located in Alta, Norway.

Visa and Ticket:
We provide free visa sponsorship for international candidates as well as cover the cost of one round-trip ticket upon successful completion of probationary period.
